There will be both British and American Camps to wander through and a reenactment of the 1781 battle.

Another great living history/reenactment venue. Virginia played significant roles in the F&I, Revolution and War of 1812, even the golden age of piracy (Blackbeard's crew were tried and hanged at Williamsburg!). It is good to be reminded of it. This was an excellent event, well attended by living history interpreters and reenactors, sutlers and food vendors. It was a spectacular spring day to be out there. Having opportunity to walk through Battersea, obviously in need of restoration to colonial glory, was especially significant. The battle reenactment was particularly well done, representing light artillery, mounted dragoons, jaegers, militia and rangers. Good to see fellow member Bob there and the 7th VA Regiment; I had a great opportunity to talk to others participating. This event continues on Sunday, the 21st, if anyone is interested in spending a pleasant historical day outside; it's only $5. The battle reenactment takes place at 1:30. I give it 3 resounding "Huzzahs!"

This sounds cool, Bob! I take it the 7th Virginia will be there? Hope to take some good pics, may even be in colonial period attire. Are you doing Cricket Hill again this year?

The 7th will be there. It doesn't look like we will be doing anything at Cricket Hill this year. We will be doing several events in the area check out our schedule at 7vr.org
