Richmond National Battlefield Park in May and June 2014 will commemorate the events of May - June 1864 collectively called The Overland Campaign.
This momentous period in our nation's history that was played out in close proximity to Richmond will be presented via a range of activities, living history demonstrations, National Park Service ranger-led tours of battlefield landscapes, lectures, discussions and multimedia presentations.
This Meetup is one of those events.
The National Park Service will offer a ranger guided bus tour of the Cold Harbor Campaign and battle sites on April 30.
The cost per person is $40.00 per tour, and participants should bring a lunch. Refreshments will be provided. The bus will begin loading at 8:45 am downtown at 3rd and Marshall streets and will depart promptly at 9:00 am. The tour concludes at approximately 4:45 pm.
