Greetings, I an active member of Orienteering USA and QOC, and Executive Director of Mountain Biking Orienteering of America (MTBO America - www.mtbo.us). I enjoy adventure racing, orienteering, and look forward to racing in the Richmond area!
I discovered foot and mountain bike orienteering in Australia when I was in the US Navy and have been adventure racing, foot orienteering, and mountain bike orienteering ever since. I'm familiar with leading teams in races up to 12-hours long. Additionally, I produced QOC's first mountain bike orienteering race (Tomahawk Tumble MTBO Race in 2010) and hope to bring more MTBO races to Virginia and Maryland in 2012.
I also enjoy hiking, extreme backpacking, mountain bike racing, and event productions. I am a member of the Potomac Velo Club when it comes to mountain bike racing and currently leading an effort to make the George Mason Cycling Club an active USA Cycling Collegiate team.

Hi Kyle, thanks for the message! I posted on the discussion board for your MTB group (http://www.meetup.com/dcmountainbikin...![]()
), hoping to see if anyone is available to ride on April 2 or 3. I'm visiting Washington DC for a few days and would like to try out some trails. Thanks for the advice! If you know of any strong intermediate riders that are often available weekdays, please let me know! Thanks :)
hi Kyle
I've been looking for an opportunity for a beginner ride but unfortunately I am just recovering from the flue and not able to participate this time. I hope you will post such an opportunity in the future :) Ansu
