Introduction

Hello, my name is John W. Smith(for real), and I apparently come from a long line of explorers. I like to get lost, and I own a really nifty compass. I've watched plenty of Zombie movies, and when I drink too much, I can always find my way home.

Have you done any orienteering before? If so, where and how much?

As a kid, I would often wander off on adventures, which would always end up with the local police being called. I was sent to a military school for several years, where I became quite proficient at map reading during our outdoor training sessions. I have a ton of field time traipsing through the Virginia/West Virginia mountains, and can navigate a busy Super Walmart like nobody's business.

What other kinds of outdoor activities do you participate in?

Kayaking, hiking, camping, birdwatching, and tracking and hunting human prey when I can afford it.
