A New Vegan Meetup has been scheduled! I know this is short notice, but it will be on Saturday November 16th from Noon to 3:00pm . Chris and Darlene, of the famous former EatAir BlogSpot, and now of http://veganscratch.com/, have graciously offered to host the event! And this event will be themed an early Thanksgiving. Everyone is invited! Bring your friends, your favorite vegan dish to share, or just yourself! Need ideas for vegan thanksgiving items? Check out http://vegweb.com/. If you know of anyone that is interested in our vegan potluck gatherings, please encourage him or her to attend, even if he/she is not signed up on meetup.com. The more folks we can get to attend, the better!
Here's the Skinny from our Hosts!:
Come celebrate an early Thanksgiving vegan-style! We've been having our own vegan Thanksgiving for many years now but since many of you will have to deal with non-vegan food and friends/family on Thanksgiving, this is an opportunity to enjoy an entirely vegan Thanksgiving spread. We'll make a big pot pie and you can bring your favorite seasonal main dish, side or dessert to share. To reduce waste (and the time it takes us to clean up), please consider also bringing your own plate, cup and utensils. We'll certainly have some you can use but maybe not enough for everyone. We'll have water and probably some cider to drink but you're welcome to bring your favorite drink as well.
One disadvantage of our location is the lack of parking out front. There's room for two cars in our driveway (maybe three if they're small and you squeeze in tight) but after that your best bet is to drive past our house, make a left on Riverside Ave and park on-street there. Riverview Park is another option and is only a 3 minute walk. Please respect our neighbors and don't park in their lot directly across the street or in the gravel lot across the street and just past our house.
And finally, many of you know we have two young kids, including a 9 month-old baby. As much as we would love to see you and your kids, please consider staying home if you or your kids are sick or feel like you're getting sick.

As usual, you need not be a vegan to attend our meetups, but please only bring vegan food. If you are unsure if an ingredient is vegan, you can e-mail me, and I'll be happy to let you know. Basically, make sure there is no meat, poultry, fish, Dairy, Egg, or insect products, or any byproducts from those ingredients.
Certainly feel free to e-mail me with any questions, and I'll make any updates as necessary.
We hope to see you all there!
