Here it comes, after many requests and planning, we have come up with a time and a ride for those that may feel that Tuesdays and Thursdays urbans are a little too much. This will be held in the South Orlando Area. We are looking forward to make this a great training and fun time to prepare you for the more advanced rides. We will be riding parts of the Shingle Creek trail, Hunters Creek Country Club area, Lake Nona, power line trails, etc. (be sure to check the comments to see where the ride will be as we alternate locations) This is a no drop ride! (nobody left behind). We will try to keep an average speed of no less than 10 mph. (speed may be faster according to riders attendance) Remember to bring safety equipment (helmet, gloves, glasses, etc.) and water or whatever fluid you drink. Lights are required. This intermediate ride is not a Sunday stroll!! This is training to get ready for the faster and longer Urbans. There will be changes in terrain (paved, grass, sand, curbs, small stairs, etc.) The pace will not be a fast one but a consistent one. We need to push harder in order to get further. Nobody will be left behind, but let's pedal to the next level. Have Fun! We can park beside the Ale House on John Young Parkway and Hunter´s Park lane. Behind the restaurant next to the Ale House(Habaneros) And when we do the ride in Lake Nona we meet at the Tijuana Flats on Narcoosssee Road.. (Thanks to all the riders that make it possible and fun!! Weather permitting! NOTE: if you are an experienced rider and want to help during this ride you will be more than welcome, but please take into consideration that the group should try to stay together. THIS IS AN INTERMEDIATE RIDE.

Mountain bikes or Hybrids with thicker tires are highly recommended. This is not a road ride.

Unfortunately for us has to be in the afternoon. I think we are keeping the ride at Lake Nona. See you tomorrow at 6 pm.

I guess I am a trendsetter - I was already going out to Snow Hill tomorrow morning. Are you all talking about a morning or afternoon ride? (morning=pleasant and cool, afternoon=death by lightning or drowning in rain)....

Hi, if you do decide on snow hill I will pass. I have a road race on the 25th and do not want to risk injury. You know how those trees like to jump out in front of me. If it is snow hill have a great ride.;-(

Anyone want to ride in the woods Saturday AM? (ride aound the trees, not THROUGH them, if I remember correctly how that works)

I've got both :) but neither is like them fancy Specialized Epic MTB's that some peeps like to ride. I'll get me a FSR someday but, unfortunately, by the time I'm ready, it may be a full-suspension wheel chair. he he he.

OMG. Come on Rob is more fun and better workout than riding long paved roads. And what do we have road bikes or MTB??
