Jeongseon Zipline, Arari Folk Village, and Hwa-am Cave!

Do you want to feel the rush of going down the longest zipline in Asia? If you do, let's go to Jeongseon, where you can ride a zipline from the top of a mountain(615m) down to its base. It's 1.2km long and can reach speeds of up to 75 miles per hour. While there, we can also go on the Skywalk. After experiencing the thrill of the zipline and Skywalk, we'll head to a folk village where we can soak up traditional Korean culture. Our last stop will be Hwa-am cave. It was once the nation's fifth-largest goldmine and is now a theme-based cave combining gold and nature. Visitors can even see some flecks of gold remaining in the cave. It will be an exciting day trip!

I added maps of the subway station we will meet at tomorrow. Be sure to go to "Seoul National University of Education" station, not to another one with a similar name.

I saw a flyer for this hiking trip but it said November 03 2012. I just moved to Seoul and would love to attend the hike/zip line. Are there still spots available?

There are a few seats left on the bus for those who want Option #2.

For those who want Option #1 (zipline), I can *try* to get you a spot but that will require calling the zipline company first. Seats on the bus are first come, first served.

Nov.4th looks a rain. If the weather is bad, is it possible to ride the zipline?

    October 29, 2012

    • Heather G.

It's too early to know the weather for Sunday. Anyway, don't worry! This time of year, it rarely rains. Also, they can run the zipline in light rain. If we go there and the zipline company says the weather is too dangerous (lightning, heavy rain, etc), then the zipline company will refund our money.

Today is the deadline to pay for Jeongseon zipline trip Option #1. After today, it may not be possible to join option #1 (contact organizers). Those who wish to do Option #2 (no zipline) can still join this trip until there are no spots on the bus available.
