June's book selection is: Great Possessions: An Amish Farmer's Journal by David Kline. Please read the book ahead of time and bring any questions or comments that may have arisen while reading. I (Leah) will be leading/moderating the discussion, but I plan on it being very casual. Let's have fun!
The location for this event is Highbanks Metropark. Please meet us at the Oak Coves Picnic Area. To get there, use the main entrance on Columbus Pike Rd. (Route 23) and take the first left after entering (there should be a sign with an arrow directing you to Oak Coves). We will plan on meeting at a picnic table near the first parking lot, which will be on your right. If the first parking lot is full, there are other lots available for parking. We'll still plan on meeting near the first lot, however, to make sure that we can find each other!
How do I find a copy of the book?
Copies of the book may be procured through your local library (If your library doesn't have a copy, keep in mind that some libraries participate in sharing programs that reach outside of their system. Ask at your library for details!). If you cannot locate a copy at the library, post here to see if anyone has an extra copy they are willing to lend you for the month. If all else fails, I recommend www.bookfinder.com to search for a cheap used copy you can purchase on the internet. You may also try Half Price Books or another local bookseller.
Our book discussions are held on the second Saturday of each month in various locations. We choose which books to read through a poll on our meetup page (find polls under the "More" tab). If you have location or book suggestions, please contact Leah!
