We're going to Oka, and that's no joke

Greetings!

There is a brand new Asian fusion and sushi restaurant that opened up near Franklin and Marshall College in Lancaster city.

According to a colleague and friend from work, they are owned by the same owners of Sakura, on N. Queen Street, so the sushi will be high-quality.

Anyway, I'd like to check them out.

Here's their website, for those who are curious.

For those that want a drink, it's really close to Iron Hill Brewery.  Oka is where former WOW Wingery used to be.

The $1 fee is an optional donation, used to help offset maintenance costs for the site.

UPDATE:  Wait List is in effect...feel free to RSVP on the wait list.  If someone backs out, you'll get in.

Thanks, Larry. But Quan said an hour until event time in a posting at 6:00pm. If it was 7:00, the I might have been able to join your "pre" group.
Quan, are you out there? 6:30 or 7:00pm?

    • Larry F.

No worries Kim. Maybe a "post" sushi :)

Ok...so it's a little over an hour before the meetup. I just changed the RSVP time to 6:00pm...this will now add two to the list. Hopefully they get it in time.

Just so everyone knows, they do have a full service bar.

Darn, BYOB is more economical, but maybe they have some good sake.

Oka has a coupon via clipper by the way!

  • Quan

Ok...so they don't have a private area. No worries...

I've already reserved our spot. I figured after the semi-fiasco at Sushi One, a three-week reservation head start will give them enough time to schedule extra help.

They apparently have a private area for large groups. I'm going to see if we can get that area.

For those who are not familiar with College Row:

If you are coming from Lancaster City, your best bet would be to get onto Harrisburg Avenue from either Prince or Queen Street, then turn right at the light on College Avenue. That will take you into the parking lot, take a left and go past the first set of buildings on the left...there will be a clearing. Oka is right there.

If you are heading toward the city, reverse the right turn on College, and make it a left turn.

There is no parking on Harrisburg Avenue...

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
