Is it true that no two snowflakes are alike?

No answer yet

What types of work do you prefer to do (poetry, short stories, non-fiction, etc.)

Personal essay, poetry, non-fiction. And although I believe myself to be weakest in fiction, I'm letting my perception of reality seep over into an anectdotal symphony...eventually to metamorphis into a non-narrative, non-linear "novel"??

Is writing your profession or just a hobby (or a profession waiting to happen)?

All of the above. I teach writing for a living. I write for clarity of thought, as a process, for fun...And yes, although I have no dreams of grandeur, I do hope to be published someday. To have a voice, and use it. To what end? Who knows?

What brings you to this meetup group?

Somehow being part of a group gives me more incentive to actually sit down and write. Plus, writing tends to be solitary, and it's nice to share - our work, our support, etc. - with like minded individuals.

Hi, I had been coming to this group's meetings since last July. But since we'd been without an organizer... One thing I noticed is I've written more since joining the group. I'm looking forward to the community and support we can give each other.

What Rachel is saying about this Meetup Group

I had a good time. Nice people. I'll try to make it back, although Wednesdays might be hard this month.
