Hi Jake,

When you send out a mass message, please choose the reply option to go to yourself (See attached pic), so that people can easily reply to you if they want more information.

Otherwise, the reply goes out through the mailing list, which I have set to require approval, because it would cause a big reply all mess among 600 members.

Thanks!

KARI wants to know if you can send a list of poetry events across the valley.

Subject: [CentralPhoenixWritingWorkshop] Send Rowie Shebala to the Women of the World Poetry Slam!
Date: Tue, 19 Feb[masked]:02:39 -0500

Hi Everybody,
Local Slam Poetess Rowie Shebala is trying to raise money to represent Arizona at the Women of the World Poetry Slam in Minneapolis (March 7 - 10) and only has 38 hours to raise 800 more dollars to reach her goal of $1200 (see the website here --> http://www.indiegogo.com/projects/312480)
Granted I don't know Rowie Shebala really well (i.e. at all) and, honestly, I don't know if her work is any good (I saw her perform at Lawn Gnome, I'm not a slam kind of guy but it was alright) but, for no other reason but the fact that she is a local literary person trying to do something for the scene here in Phoenix, I tossed her $10 (for which I'll receive a copy of her chapbook). Also, goodwill. And karma, too, if you believe in that kind of thing (which I don't, but still). It's a good cause.
Anyway, if you're in a financial position to give away $5 or $10 and can find it in your heart of hearts to do so (I spent $50 on fancy beer yesterday, I found it in my heart of hearts to do so), that would be awesome, and she would very much appreciate it.
Again, donate here (http://www.indiegogo.com/projects/312480).
Also, there are lots of nifty literary events taking place over the next month (24 hour poetry readings! Sweet book clubs! Open Mics all the time!) that you can check out at fourchamberspress.com/calendar. And if you'd like to get involved with Four Chambers, we're starting to build momentum, just send me an e-mail, and we'd love to have you.
(If these things are starting to annoy you, please please please just let me know. Politely.)
Thanks much, and see you at group!
-Jake
