Double Feature Night: Kingdom Builder and Guillotine!

It looks like a lot of people love the double feature idea so let's go with it! This time we are going to take a look at two new games, Kingdom Builder and Guillotine.

Kingdom Builder is designed by the same guy who designed Dominion. I'll be learning to play it so I can't go into to much depth about it. Check out some YouTube videos and Wikipedia for some more info or if someone knows how to play if you could post something more informative that would be great. It plays in about 45 minutes and can play with 2-5 players.

Guillotine is a card game that draws upon the French Revolution during the reign of King Louis XVI and Maria Antoinette. You carry out the death sentences by using the guillotine as your master stroke. Getting points for beheading the various leaders of French royalty or losing points by beheading those the public love. It's a pretty quick game to learn and takes about 30 minutes to play. Again you can look up more information on Wikipedia or YouTube.

I have a copy of Guillotine as I know Johnny does as well. It's a cheap game to get too, I think I paid 12 dollars for mine.

If you have either game or plan on buying either game, please let us know you will be bringing it.

I will temporarily plan on having it at Esquire unless our game night at BWW is so freakin' awesome we would call ourselves crazy for not having it there again.

Also, if you're wondering what Kingdom Builder is, here's my favorite British board game reviewers covering it.

I've got Kingdom Builder and the expansion, so I can play 5 in that. And I'll bring my copy of Guillotine.

Bummer - haven't played either of these and would love to learn, but our son is coming home from camp that night and would like us to stay home. :)

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
