Paddle around the southern half of North Hero (16 miles). Launch at 10:00 a.m. from the boat access on Rte 2, just before the entrance to Knight State Park. Access is on the right side of the road (if you are headed north) with parking just off the road. Direction of paddle will be determined by wind direction that day. This paddle is open to boats 14 ft or longer. (If your boat is shorter, contact me and we can discuss, as we have some strong paddlers in 12 ft boats). Weather is expected to be sunny and hot. Bring lots of water (2 qts) and lunch/snacks. We'll stop and swim a few times if its really hot.
Pace expected to be 2.5 - 3.0 mph, fairly slow. Expected return 5:00 p.m.
PFDs must be worn, regardless of how hot it gets! Please arrive early enough to be ready to paddle at 10:00. If you sign up, then change your plans, no issues; but please change your RSVP to no, so we aren't waiting for anyone to arrive that is not coming. Once again, the put-in is across the highway, just before the entrance to Knight Point State Park.
