Welcome to Champlain Kayak Club.

The Champlain Kayak Club was founded in 1992 and has been active on the lake ever since. In June of 2013 the club members voted to dissolve the formal club and continue on as a Meet-Up club. This means it will now be up to the members to schedule paddles and outings.

Weekly Wednesday night paddles, weekend trips and multi-day treks to destinations ranging from our home Lake Champlain to the coast of Maine is now up to the members of our Meet-Up group to organize. The club places a strong emphasis on paddling safety and as a meet up group we should all continue to do so.

We are no longer a dues paying club. Now that we have dissolved the formal part of the club we are not collecting dues at this time. We anticipate that someone will ask for donations around the time we need to renew the Meet-Up. Not everyone has to donate, but we do need to collect around $75.00 every six months. We have a large enough membership to cover this cost so lets all pitch in.

Please check out the Pages area on Meet-Up for more information about the club and how things have worked in the past.

If you look on the left hand side of the Meet-Up home page you will see a link to our Facebook page and a link to our Google Map of launch locations.

There are old trip reports to the Files area so people can see what the club has been doing the past few years.

If you have any questions please post to the discussion section and we will try to answer them.

We hope to see you on the water and read about your trips.
