Chaos Cooking #2

We had SOOOO much fun at the last Chaos Cooking, we'd love to do another. Maybe a smaller one around 20 people, either outside or indoors. Maybe Sunday during the day? Who would be interested? Message if you know of a place to host it. Getting excited!

An international community of incredible people who share a passion for food, drinks and good conversations. Our staple event is where everyone brings the ingredients for one dish and then cooks together in one space. All recipes must be finished and space returned to original condition by the end of the event, while everyone is socializing, enjoying drinks and eating tasty dishes. Featured in the NY Times and NPR.

Definitely  bring:

Bring the ingredients necessary for a bunch of people to try a little bit of your dish.
A bottle of wine or drink to share.


Try to bring:
Extra knives, cutting boards, big bowls, grilling surfaces and Tupperware to bring any extra food home.

Guidelines:
Everyone must prepare something.

    Still trying to decide- gave up on the more complicated dessert as it has to sit for 2 hours after preparation- but considering soft pumpkin chocolate chip cookies or a soup with black eyed peas. Any preferences?

    Can anyone bring a portable burner/heating element? I need to stir something for about 1/2 an hour and dont want to take up the front of the stove the whole time....

    Hi all -
    just a quick note to say we do have a fair amount of different spices and ingredients at our house so if you just need a little of something like fennel seeds or rice vinegar then just email me maybe to check I have it and you won't need to bring so much for the cooking!
    It's going to be fantastic!

    Hi everybody, just to let you know im not gonna be able to atentd, cozz i had an accident last saturday and was in the hospital. Im not able to stand close to the heat, and cooking, and get dizzi very quickly. I will have to pass this time. See you on the next one.

    I don't think there is a theme...
    I am thinking of asian dishes like Som Tam .. Asian slaw... not sure yet.
    and if I find large wonton wrappers my daughter can advise us on edible origami crackers!

    Very interesting article on cuy, although I HAVE eaten it the way it should be prepared, and I found it ok, but actually too full of bones and not.enough meat. Is.actually really greasy, kinda like duck. Plus it is.traditionally served whole, complete.with head, feet, tail just STARING at u!!

    Yeah ! Had so much fun at last one, can't wait for.this one! I made a fruit.pie at last one that went over so well it almost didn't make.it outside! Does that work for.this.group? (Although that fruit came.from my garden, I don't think.I can pull it.off.in October ....)
