Chaos Cooking at Jack's Place

  • Oct 16, 2012 · 6:30 PM

Bonus theme: Fall Harvest Edition. Chaos Cooking is going to Clinton Hill! One kitchen, four burners, plus a giant patio with a BBQ. Veterans and newbies are all welcome.

For all the politicos, we'll also have the Presidential debate on the TV.

Obligatory instructions from Joe Che and Margaret below:

A continuing social experiment where everyone brings the ingredients for one dish and then cooks together in one space. All recipes must be finished and space returned to original condition by the end of the event, while everyone is drinking wine, socializing and eating delicious dishes.

We will provide: BBQ, Pots, pans, plates, cups, silverware, salt, pepper, olive oil, blender, flour, and charcoal.

What to bring:
Bring the ingredients necessary for everyone to try a little bit of your dish and a bottle of wine or a drink of your choice.

Extra knives, cutting boards, big bowls, cooking utensils, and tupperware to bring any extra food home.

When you arrive
1) Sign in
3) Pour yourself some wine
4) Start making your dish
5) Drink some more wine
6) Help your new friends
7) Bang on a pot when your dish is finished
8) Don't forgot....try some dishes, share your dish, and try not to start yourself on fire
9) Wrap up some food to take home
10) Cleanup will start at 10:00

Suggested donation: $5.00

Hi - okay I just got an email that says there are twelve people attending, but the site says only seven. What is the official headcount? (I wanna know whether to double my "serves 12" recipe or just bring enough for one batch!)

We also have a number of people that signed up at chaoscooking.com, on Facebook, and a few others that were invited via word-of-mouth, so we'll have a lot of people tomorrow. Make whatever amount you're comfortable making, and I'm sure lots of us will get to sample it.
