Went back to school for Library Science and moved to NC just as the economy imploded. Currently in the mortgage industry to a degree.
I confess, although biography and non-fiction constitute my preferred reading matter, I usually don't note the authors, as I would for fiction. Since 2008, since i was personally affected and have a degree in economics, I have been reading newspaper articles about politics and economics much more than I have been reading books. I like Christopher Hitchens work.
I am writing articles for marketing purposes and this is about the only part of my job I enjoy. Why not find out if I could use some of that ability for different purposes? My sister went through the "freelance, start up magazine" merry go round, so my expectations are limited. If I could find out about outlets for non-fiction writing, see if there's any place for me and meet some nice people, that would be fine.
Single, late fifties...have lived in Boston area, Austin Tx. Gulfport Fl. and Durham NC the past five years.
