The Gardens provide an amazing opportunity to view and photograph animals that are challenging to view in the wild.

Poás Volcano

Poás volcano is a powerful symbol of the geothermal forces that formed Costa Rica. When the mist and clouds part it is possible to see the sulfuric, bubbling, green rain fed lake at the bottom, surrounded by smoke and steam
rising from fumaroles. The crater is 1,050 feet (320 meters) deep. At almost a mile (1.6 km) across it's also the largest active crater in the world.

The Package price is per person, double occupancy.

6-9  $1800

10-11  $1750

  • Julie H.

I just returned from a month in Costa Rica on the West coast. I'd love to return. What is the cost?

    1 · March 12, 2014

    • Kathie L.

Hi Julie, It looks like it will range between $1,400 and $1,800 depending on how many sign up.
Even at the $1,800 rate, it is worth it. This place is amazing. We stay in incredible green sustainble eco-tour lodges and see incredible wildlife. Monkeys, sea turtles, toucans, parrots, and giant Blue Morpho butterflies up close. Our guides Sara and Diane are also amazing. Basically if we get the 6 minimum, It's $1,800. The price goes down from there depending on how many sign up. We can take 22, however when it reaches around 14 or more, the price can be as low as $1,400, depending on double occupancy. Single occupancy is $1,800 (meaning you have your own room). I hope this helps. Feel free to call me directly at[masked]
