Postponed by Folly Beach to this date because of a forecast of severe thunderstorms on Mar.29.
We can either join at Blu's front beach Tiki bar at the Tides Hotel on Sat. April 12 at 1:30 pm or gather and park at my house 12 - 1 pm for a quick drink (otherwise parking will be difficult to find elsewhere). Then from my house, we could make the 5-10 min. walk to Blu's Tiki bar to meet those who are already gathered there. At about 2 pm, we will leave the Tiki bar and move on to the closed off Center Street for the music, wining and dining. Others could bring their bathing suits, and remain at the beach. For those who don't know my address, it is at the very bottom of this page. Pay particular attention to the directional map provided here, as your GPS will possibly be attempting to guide you through the streets closed off for this festival.

I live in the only "new homes" subdivision on Folly Beach. Very few people know that all this parking exists in this subdivision. There will be plenty of parking in this subdivision, as no one on Folly owns the first 10 ft of their lawns...so park on someone's lawn. Just keep your tires off the street pavement and follow other usual parking rules such as not blocking driveways or intersection curbs. Allow extra time for probable heavy traffic entering Folly Beach when there is something going on like a festival or a gorgeous beach day.
