Golf Lesson#2 for learners@Muni. $10 w'PGA Master Pro &9/18 or#19: RSVP total=23

Everyone, including the golf instructors really appeared to enjoy themselves on this beautiful afternoon. These particular pros know the "the golf swing" from an academic angle and are thus able to effectively transfer that understanding to a practical swing. So it's time for lesson #2. Please email me if I should schedule a tee time for 9 or 18 either before or after the lessons. After I schedule the tee times through the "Sun n'Fun Charleston Golfers" Meetup group, they would have to be RSVPed through that Meetup site. Below is the link to that Meetup site.

So far as of Apr 27th, 23 total RSVPed (combined with our associated Meetup group, Sun n'Fun Charleston Golfers).

Also below is a copy of the description to lessons #1 on April 13.

I couldn't pass up not announcing this special to those in our group who may be interested. I know Boykin, so this offer isn't like your usual Groupon offer to all.

Boykin Powers of the Charleston Municipal Golf Course (aka Muni), one of the very few PGA Master Golf Instructors in the US is trying to help our Meetup group by giving us golf lessons for only $10 per person. That is unheard of, as this rate also applies if only one person, myself, shows up. Otherwise it's $50 for a one person lesson. A $7 bucket of balls is included in this price. This rate is applicable only if you are part of the two Meetup groups organized by myself. So here is your chance to learn golf the right way, if you haven't already learned it the wrong way. Anyone that is playing as part of our group will also get Muni's lower city rate green fees when our group plays there, no matter where you live. The oddity is most of the homes that line the course do not get the city rate, as they are not City of Chas. annexed.

Link below is for Muni rates.

The other "after lessons" option is a "cool one" at the clubhouse or at one of the many bars and restaurants nearby on Maybank Hwy.

Although obviously not the finest, Muni is probably the least expensive course in Charleston and keeps the same green fees year round. It is also one of the few exercise friendly walkable courses in Charleston that doesn't charge you for walking it. For logistic reasons, most courses here simply will not allow you to walk them.

A series of lessons at the same price will follow covering every aspect of the game. For those who can only make it on weekdays for lessons, please make a comment on weekdays preferred. We can then have a set of duplicate lessons for weekends and weekdays. One can actually take the same lesson multiple times, unless one perfects it the first time (LOL).

Below are two instructional videos that Boykin Powers has done to demonstrate one of the most important techniques to get you started.

For those who did not go to lesson #1, here is a followup email from Boykin Powers to those who did attend.

About 2 hrs. of lessons instead of the customary 45 min. & all for $10. How good is that!!! Learned something that didn't help me until a driving range practice after playing 9. That is I would always be an arms swinger unless on the back swing I rotated my belt buckle completely to the right opposite my target.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
