The Charleston Animal Society Celebrity (Vegan) Chili Cook-Off

Join our team in the Charleston Animal Society's Celebrity Chili Cook-off.  The Cook-off is the CAS's largest fundraiser of the year.  This year it is more important than ever as they try to reach their 2015 goal of becoming a No-Kill Shelter.

We love CAS and the wonderful work that they do in the community.  Yet it is hard not to see the disconnect in serving up animals at a fundraiser to save animals.  Which is what inspired us to participate and create our own team!

We will be entering the chili cook-off with the team name "No-Kill Chili" and we will enter a Vegan Chili into the competition.

Please join our team.   JOIN THE TEAM HERE

There are so many ways to help out after you join:

• You can submit your chili recipe for the cook-off (Pre Cook Off is 11/9 to decide the representing chili).  RSVP TO THE PRE COOK-OFF HERE

• You can share the fundraising page with your friends and family and help raise money for CAS and it's No-Kill Goal.

• You can Volunteer on 11/23 and help educate the community

We will be participating as South Carolina C.A.R.E. (see below for info)

    Hi Everyone!

We have our final recipe for the CAS Chili Cook-Off! Congratulations to Chris Nagy who had the winning recipe! I'm really excited about the event and the opportunity to spread a compassionate message to fellow animal lovers!

We need volunteers for the following: 1. Hang out at our table on 11/23. We will be there from 11-5

    2. We need about 200 more copies of this leaflet for the event. A life connected http://www.nonviolenceunited.org

    3. We need donations toward the chili ingredients. 4. I have posters I need to get laminated. Can someone price this for me? They are 18x24 and there are 2 of them. 5. Please continue to spread the word and get donations for our team. http://chilicookoff2013.kintera.org/nokillchili

Please let me know what you can help with!

    Thanks so much!

      Stacy,
I had staples laminate me things for work not too long ago. I think my size was one larger than 18 x 24... It was $30 a sheet but they had to do the large format copy and laminate. You already have posters?
I will donate $ to recipe.
Do you need cooking assistance? I am assuming we need a lot of chili pre-made.
I can be at the table for as long as I am needed...
      Rachel

Hi Rachel. Thanks so much! I already have the posters and a coupon for FedEx kinkos so I'm going to price it there this week :) I'm going to check with Chris on when we will be cooking the chili. I'm guessing Friday? We will save receipts and get everyone to chip in Sat.

Also, thinking we should meet somewhere ahead of time. Those of us who will be there all day (Emily, David/Jack, Grace) Chris, can we meet at your place and do inventory and possibly carpool over there?

I received tickets for the team members. If you donated on top of the initial enrollment fee, print a receipt for that. It's an EXTRA ticket. I'm sure we will need a few. If you need a ticket, call or email me and we will arrange to get you one. [masked][masked]

Hi Everyone! Make sure to share the page and get people to donate. I would love to exceed our goal of $1000. For every $20 donated, the donor will receive a ticket to the Chili Cook-off. Make sure to let people know to save their donation receipts.
