Volunteer Day at Cotton Branch Farm Sanctuary

Break out your work gloves, we are going to Cotton Branch again!

PLEASE PLAN TO MEET AT 9:00 am IN THE TARGET PARKING LOT TO CARPOOL.  Cotton Branch is located about 2 hours west.

The volunteer day details are below.  We will be meeting the Columbia Group there at 11:30am.  Rob Francis is the main organizer and contact person.  His contact info is at the bottom if you have specific questions about what to bring.

Cotton Branch Farm Animal Sanctuary is again in need of help with grounds maintenance, as the population of rescued animals continues to grow.  At present, there is very limited help available, while there is much required to be done on the farm to compensate for the daily requirements.  The animals there are very special, affectionate and in need of your assistance.  Your help will be greatly appreciated towards providing for them.

Volunteer days are 18+ only. Please leave 4-legged family members at home.

What To Bring:

- Rake
- Shovel
- Gloves
- Hat
- Bug Spray
- Sunglasses
- Water
- Snack

Donations of produce (apples, carrots, melons, bananas, greens) and/or financial donations are always needed and much appreciated!

The entrance to the farm is located on Lightwood Knot Road, which connects to Cotton Branch Road. Both are unpaved roads.

Thank you everyone for coming out! We are going to try to plan a monthly volunteer day. It will probably be the 2nd Sat of the month until after the holidays.

Does anyone have a chainsaw they could bring to Cotton Branch?

It's time to start thinking about grabbing extra produce for the animals while you're shopping … :) They love apples, carrots, melons, bananas, greens

I don't know right now if I am going or not, depends on whether I go on the Pawker Bike fundraiser for the SPCA. If my harley friend invites me I will probably do that, if not, I would like to come. I have a rake AND a shovel! WOW!!

I don't own a rake or a shovel. Can I still come and help out? :)

You can come, but you have to sit in time out for not having a shovel... I'm kidding. Yes please come anyway. I think he means bring 'em if you have 'em.
