It's nice to have an opportunity to go out with folks who understand compassionate choices.
I would say I started on this path probably around age 10 or so when I questioned my sisters about what, exactly, is "veal" and what, exactly, is "venison." The answers I got were honest and started me thinking. One sister said "there is absolutely no difference between eating beef and eating venison." She was right and it hit me hard, although she didn't mean for me to take it that way. That was the experience that planted the seed; the journey took much longer but, over the years, as I could make my own choices and especially as I learned more about conditions under which animals become our food, I couldn't....anymore... I have been vegetarian about 30 years and more recent learning has put me on the path to veganism.
Hi everyone, just looking forward to meeting like minded people....
