Basil is one of my go-to favorites.
Hm, not sure about that.
Anything that relies on lot of fresh herbs and vegetables with creative sauces, and best of all a spicy kick. Currently I am on a Vietnamese/ Thai cuisine jag. It's fairly hard to find many of these choices in the Charleston Area, though.
Robust reds, with particular interest in Italian reds -- a good Chianti, Sangiovese, Valpollicella.
