Bikes suitable for this ride: All types

This ride will be predominately through neighborhood streets that have very little traffic on them. The section of Colony Rd. we will use to access the Olde Providence area has bike lanes. This area is fairly hilly and is all residential. Afterwards, I'll be riding to Caribou Coffee on Fairview Rd. if you wish to join me for a drink or snack.

Some of the places we will pass on our ride:

  • Carmel Middle School
  • Old Providence Park
  • McAlpine Creek

  • All riders must be willing to stay with the group because we'll be making many turns on our route.
  • There are no public restrooms on this ride.
  • Please bring plenty of water and snacks if needed.
  • Bike helmets are mandatory on all rides; also gloves, bright clothing, eye protection, and a side mirror are highly recommended. I also recommend bringing with you an appropriate-sized spare tube for your bicycle.
  • If chance of inclement weather, ride will be rescheduled. Please check the comments section below for weather updates.

We'll meet at the parking lot and start our ride at 2:00 pm.

Click here for directions to the parking lot. Carmel Road Park is just east of the Colony Rd. and Carmel Rd. intersection. The parking lot is on Carmel Rd. We will be near the tennis courts.

A pleasant ride & good conversation. Coffee at the end is always a bonus for me.
