Tasty Tuesday Potluck (Bring a dish & BYOWB)

Let Me Decide CLT presents:
Tasty Tuesday Potluck at Healthy Home Market

Bring a dish & BYOWB (Bring Your Own Water Bottle!)
We will provide water for all attendees

6:30-8:30pm
2nd Tuesdays of the month

Join us to share great food & discuss:
-Food Issues
-Government Policy
-Fracking & Water Safety
-Grassroots Activism
-Local Farm Support
& How to get involved!

BRING YOUR OWN DISH TO GIVE BACK TO THE GROUP! PLEASE & THANK YOU. We will be meeting in the community room.

It is not required to bring a dish, but it helps to develop the community aspect of this event. In the end, you won't regret taking time to create something! When it comes to dishes please be mindful of the dish that you prepare. Take this time to let it be an educational and tasty experience. Try to go the extra mile of creating a dish that is from a local market or farmers market. I would love it if you simply wrote down on a piece of paper what ingredients are used in your dish and where you sourced those ingredients from. If we are to ask for companies to be transparent, we ourselves need to be as well.

GUEST SPEAKER:

Kent Crawford - Land, Water, Food

The ways we produce our food and manage land play a major causative role in many of the environmental challenges we face today.  Fortunately changing these practices can go a long way toward solving these challenges. In fact, solutions may not be possible without transformation of our relationships to the land and the water and animals on the land.

Come and enjoy a different, optimistic view on climate change, weather extremes and how we produce our food.

Kent Crawford from the Awakening the Dreamer, Changing the Dream, a project of the Pachamama Alliance will be speaking.

Hey Janet! Sorry for the short notice but with the new puppy in the house, we think we'd better stay close to home this time around. He's not used to being alone yet.

    May 12, 2014

    • Janet R C.

I completely understand! Part of me REALLY wants you to bring the puppy ;) however I know that's unreasonable of me. Rowan and I are currently taking care of a new pet (working to redomesticate her), but she's a cat so she doesn't need the attention a puppy does. Take care and we will see you next time :) Double date soon? eh?

We plan to bring deviled eggs - free range chickens from Rutherford Co. We will also bring another dish to be determined.

Hey Everyone, please list what dish you plan to bring! It would be great if we can coordinate a little bit, so that one person can bring a fresh green salad, another can bring a mixed fruit bowl, another can bring bread, and another bring proteins, etc. If you already know what you plan to prepare and bring - please list it here in the conversation! Thank you!

I plan to bring grilled vegetables and italian sausage (from Grateful Growers Farm)

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
