Join us for our 1st Prime Lens Meetup of 2014
Main Purpose: To learn / experience the advantages (and even the disadvantages) of using a PRIME LENS which forces you to move your body in order to change the perspective of your image as opposed to turning the ring on your zoom lens.
We will shoot using only prime (fixed focal length, non-zoom) lenses. Any type are welcome.
This Month's Topic: Open Shoot. Feel free to shoot anything. This will be a great opportunity to just get out and start shooting again after this unusually harsh winter.
When in the park, just follow the signs to Lake Pointe Hall. We'll meet just behind Lake Pointe Hall facing the lake. There are tons of places to shoot here. Most of all, we'll have some fun and hopefully learn something new!
Although this is a FREE event for all members, please RSVP, especially if your plans change and have to cancel. Members may bring a guest to use as a model or assistant.
Steve will be there to assist our members from 6:00-8:00pm. After the shoot (8:15pm), for those that would like to continue to join us, we will meet just down the road at Mario's Pizza to wind down, grab some food and drink, and display/discuss some of the images from this event on their large screen monitor.
Please plan on posting your best images to this event page and labeling each image with the focal length of the lens used, i.e. (85mm), so we can all enjoy and learn from them. Selected images will be displayed at the Monthly Meetup on Tuesday, April 1st.
