Old Motorcycle Shoot

I ran into a guy (he was driving at 40's panel truck) while we were shooting at Red Cross Store last week-end and he saw what we were shooting and offered to let us come to his place and shoot his motorcycles.

He has motorcycles from 1932 - 1962 including

1962 3 wheeler,  1945 Indian with sidecar, several Harley's with original paint and lots of other Harley's plus motorcycle parts.

This should be a fun shoot.

Is there anyone wanting to car pool with me I live off mt Holy Huntersville rd?

Bruce hated to see you drop out, was looking forward to meeting you.

Just a few things about the shoot Saturday. PLEASE BRING YOUR $5 CASH SO I DON'T HAVE TO MAKE CHANGE.
If you can carpool with anyone on the list that would be great, not only would it help with us parking but gives you the opportunity to network and socialize with another photographer.
Bring your tripod as I'm not sure of the lighting in the building and how many he will bring outside. I would suggest if you have a macro lens to bring that as there are always opportunities to do close up work.
We will shoot approx 3 hours. If you need to call me[masked]-9774.
As always zero your camera out, make sure your batteries are charged and you have a clean card.
Looks like we're going to have good weather.

It seems that the groups almost always fill up, would it be possible to make them larger?

    March 9, 2014

    • Terie Christmas D.

Vladimir sometime we have to keep these groups small in order to accommodate the venue and parking. If this works out to be a good location I will host another one in the future.

Is this guys shop big enough to have 15 people running around trying to take pictures. Another thing, will we have 5 people in every photo we take of a bike ...lol

    1 · March 11, 2014

    • Terie Christmas D.

I'm not sure Dannie. He is going to have his son bring some outside. Looks like the weather is going to be good for a change.

Had to cancel. Schedule conflict arose.

    March 11, 2014

  • Terry W.

I noticed a cancellation....how does it work when you're on the wait list......will you automatically get registered?

    1 · March 11, 2014

    • Terie Christmas D.

yes it will do it automatically and I think you get an email.

    Zoli,
No, the $42.00 is the amount of Annual Dues for a Pro Membership. If you are a Pro Member, all the monthly meeting are free (unless otherwise noted) and there are other benefits.
Nominal fees for all other meetups during the month are charged on a per meetup basis, depending on the event, instructors, venue charges and/or other requirements.

    March 9, 2014

  • Zoli

Hey there, I am new to this so forgive the naive question: The $42 is only for a month? I haven't paid it yet, but I would like to be there for the bike shooting...

I hope you can do this again. This filled up fast!

    March 5, 2014

  • Terry W.

Wow...how did I miss this one? As a guy who's shot motorcycle calendars before, I was really looking forward to this one.

    March 5, 2014

    • Terry W.

More to the point, how is it I get an email this morning saying there are 15 spots left...but then when I get to this page, it shows I'm on a wait list?

      1 · March 5, 2014

    • Terie Christmas D.

Terry not sure but this filled up very fast. The email went out yesterday morning. If this shoot turns out well, I will schedule another one soon.

I want to bring my 2 kids but don't see where I can say +2 - any advice before space runs out?!

    March 4, 2014

    • Terie Christmas D.

I did not include adding guest for this shoot as I wanted as many of our members to sign up as possible. This is a private place and I'm not sure of parking so I limited the number of attendees.

      March 5, 2014

  • Ted

I want to bring my kids but I don't want them signing up for meetup to RSVP how
    Can I so that?

    March 4, 2014

    • Ted

Oh I guess there is no limit on this one :). I must have been hallucinating

      March 4, 2014

  • Jesse Howell I.

Ted I hardly think anyone will complain if you bring your two kids. On the contrary, it will be good for kids to see some of us adults acting like kids :)

    March 4, 2014

    • Ted

Ok was just eying to be respectful to the organizer who set a limit for a reason (I assume!)

I bet my husband would love to go- he used to own a Harley and has always loved them.

I'm a beginner and this sounds fun. If I don't have to work, I will be there.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
