Night Lights in Uptown - photo contest

Join me for some night photography in Uptown Charlotte. We will meet at the atrium on Tryon between 3rd and MLK.
Meeting Spot is in the atrium beside Mimosa Grill on Tryon:
The closest light rail stop is 3rd St. / Convention center. From there just walk two blocks NW on 3rd St. then turn left when you reach Tryon and the atrium is half a block on the left
There will be awards for:
- Best long exposure
- Best artificially lit shot
- Best night portrait
Bring your camera, a tripod and strobes if you have them, but pack light as we will be moving around quite a bit during the evening.
Bring your ideas for lighting the city at night or capturing some longer exposures with existing light.
We will re-group after a couple of hours at a nearby restaurant to talk, share, and distribute the fabulous prizes.
As for parking, I usually try to find street parking or use the 7th street deck. I'm not sure the cost on this particular night, but I'm opening to carpooling if anyone is interested.

If you take the light rail into Uptown, there is free parking at all of the CATS stations.

I usually just parallel park on the street. Free after 6pm, but can be hard to find depending on what is going on downtown.
Get off at 3rd street / convention if you take the light rail.

Refunds offered if:
- the Meetup is cancelled
- the Meetup is rescheduled
- you can cancel at least 3 day(s) before the Meetup
Additional notes: Refunds given only if cancelled 72 hours before the start of the meetup.
Payments you make go to the organizer, not to Meetup. You must make refund requests to the organizer.
