Hi! I got my first DSLR in February and am trying to learn HDR and digital darkroom techniques. I enjoy shooting land and sea-scapes, wildlife, flowers, and night photography. I am retired with 8 kids and 15 grandkids and Christmas IS a ZOO!
Shot B&W film in the early 60's, made a little money, but had to give it up while raising a family. After 40+ years using a Point & Shoot, it's time to get back into SLR photography. You could say I've had 1 year of extperience 40+ times over!
I am trying to get the most out of HDR with any high contrast subject material, including indoor shots with bright windows, sunsets, plants, action shots of birds and animals, interesting archetecture, aircraft, dramatic weather & night photography.
Nikon D3100, Nikon 18-55mm lens, Nikon 55-300mm lens, Tokina 11-16mm lens.
Looking to learn & share photography techniques and locate places to shoot.
"Using Photomatix Pro 4, Lightroom 3.4 and Photoshop CS5 for the digital darkroom."
After the shoot I spotted George and had a chance to speak with him briefly so I really didn't get to talk with anyone else from the group that I could identify. I'm looking forward to my first monthly meeting to get to know the folks in the group. With so many photographers and groups in attendance, it would have been super helpful for a newbe to see name tags with group name and first name to help sort things out.
