Tomorrow is my wedding anniversary. I can't make the meetup time.

Currently, I work from home for a client that is on the West coast. So my weekday mornings until about 1pm are actually my best times for shooting or doing personal things. Afternoons are spotty and weekends are usually out due to paid work or other commitments.

I've been watching the CreativeLive webcasts. They're pretty good. But everything is covered so quickly. It looks so easy at the time, but then, days later, it's hard to remember all the tips! So maybe some individual topics like working with layer masks, layer blending techniques, adjustment layers, etc. Just one topic at a time..

Some of these local restaurants might allow use of their indoor "party rooms" for meetings if we all buy lunch from them. Hawthorne's in Mint Hill comes to mind. There is a back room that could easily fit a small group with laptops and the place is generally slow during the day.

Ron, thank you very much for your comment. It is definitely doable to have meetups for those topics, in fact we did have some of these covered in previous workshops. Cafes and restaurants are good venues, we will have to explore more options for meetups. I do see that your preference is for mornings, that is good to know. Happy anniversary! We will see you soon.

I do 95% of my post processing using Silver Efex Pro 2.0.... So there is only one major RAW processing that I still have NOT found that comfort zone........ Check Histogram for clipping; adjust exposure and brightness as needed.

My goal is to have an image histogram that has a little bit of space to the right of the highlights and to the left of the shadows. But try not to clip the shadows too much. I have heard that tools like Blacks Slider, and Shadow Recovery are good for this?

Alberto, there are a few tools that can be used for that matter, Curves has the best control of the Histogram.

will look at curves, as long as I can adjust so I do not get any clipping on both ends, that would be great. To me clipping is lost details and that horrible to bring into SEP 2.0........ thanks will into it and prep
