Started my Film adventure while in the Marines during the early 70's. Was stationed in Okinawa, Nam and then happier times in Japan. I mainly shoot Macro B&W and do most of my post processing in Silver Efex Pro 2.0.
Am lacking overall skill sets in PS, especially in preparing RAW adjustments before sending image to SEP, especially: 1- Adjusting Linear Tone Curve to flat 2- adjusting Histogram for clipping in shadows
Amateur photographer, and have had offers to start selling some of my photos, but am happy for now just having fun.
Yes have CS6 installed on my laptop
Nelli has a wide knowledge base in applying PS to the Graphics side.
Thanks Alberto, I look forward to attending your group!
Computer is down at this time, but I would be interested in info. on more kayaking classes.
Thank you for the welcome to the group. I would love to paddle with your group.....in the spring! I don't have cold weather gear yet.
Hey Alberto- thanks for the 'welcome' comment! I hope I can get into a class b/4 weather cools off too much... I would also like to see what your w.w. boat feels like vs my big ride (12 ft)... You know, I paddled the dam-river pk stretch last Sun, and it just felt like a tamer ride than in previous yrs... not sure what was different (water level? submerged trees changing flow of river?)... it will be good practice to do it with some expert guidance... thanks for staying in touch!
I have done lakes and class 1 & 11 rivers ie, the Lower Green, the Dan, the New.
Alberto, Yes I do have a kayak. It's a Liquid Logic Saluda rec boat.
Hi Alberto and welcome to Hiking-Charlotte/Piedmont! Next time you come to an outing, I am pretty sure one of our members can help you figure out your GPS. Hope you'll join us soon.
Alberto -- is the class on for Saturday? I am a little confused. If yes, I will make arrangements to get a boat. I think I could get one for the weekend. Do you think the lower green trip on Sunday would be doable? I did my first kayak roll today, but am doubtful about repeating it in moving water. Char
Hi Alberto I have an old whitewater boat and all the gear,
Hello Alberto - I've done a bit of kayaking-mainly flat water - my favorite. I like tidal creeks, and don't mind moving water like the Edisto, Lynches, Black Creek, etc. I'll put up with a little bit more, like Landsford for example, but draw a line there. I like to enjoy the environment, take pics, look for flora and fauna, and not have to grit my teeth an pay attention to the upcoming rapids that may or may not attempt to toss me out of my kayak. That would be no fun, for I cannot swim :(
