Through the membrane of declarative to procedural (code) Force.com development!

You Must RSVP to this event, limited availability & private room.

Phillip Southern will be sharing and code sampling with us from the perspective of a SalesForce Admin who transitioned into a SalesForce developer. His path to becoming a SF developer is the most common one I have observed in my career with Force.com

My background for the past 18 years has always been development, so when I transitioned to SalesForce, I started with APEX, VF, and API. I will be sharing on some foundational practices / development that will help accelerate your own learning and successful implementations.

Food / Drink:

  • Buffalo Wings
  • Quesadilla Wedges
  • Fried Shrimp
  • Pretzel Dogs
  • BBQ Potato Chips

  • Unlimited Coffee, Tea, and Soda
  • Cash bar available for alcoholic beverages
    • I can order a few pitchers, etc.

Topic:

*Several* folks have requested that we do some sessions that would help non-developers and advanced declarative Force.com users learn how to develop procedural on the Force.com platform.

This is an opportunity to gain better understanding of developing in the Force.com platform as well as covering topics that are rudimentary to programming.

Obviously, this is a broad topic - so submit your questions in advance.

One of my favorite experiences to share with folks is the proverbial "light-bulb" coming on!

If you are a very seasoned developer, please join me in helping others break through the declarative membrane and into the fun-filled world of coding in the Force.com platform.

You will want to bring your laptop to this next session.

Sorry, I was all set to go but am staying late to help with an RFP response due tomorrow. Any chance the meeting will be recorded or notes posted out for those of us that can't be there? :(

Hi Kelly, drat! I hate that you can't make it. I was really looking forward to your input. We don't have the setup tonight for a recording. We are talking about a series...so maybe we can get you on the next one. So sorry you have a last minute proposal.....I empathize!
