Prototyping with HTML

Prototyping with HTML/CSS and a little dash of jQuery can be one of the quickest ways to get a functional, clickable prototype in front of your team, client or personal project. It's compatible on any platform, portable, can be easily distributed and modified and you can use it at any point during a process. Learn some basics about prototyping with a generous helping of HTML5, CSS3 & jQuery. Walk away with a boilerplate template that can be used with any project. You can
download the template the day of the meetup. A few lucky folks will also walk away with the book
Prototyping by Todd Zaki Warfel.

Well worth the drive up to Charlotte from Union County! Thanks, Bermon, for a great show, rather than tell, presentation.

Great topic. The conversation was a decent balance of both why and how to prototype. Felt like it would have been nice to explore the practical examples a bit more but overall it was a really useful demo. Bermon did a great job, and "the crowd" offered good additional input.

Here's a link to that book "Serious Play" I mentioned - actually a pretty good read for a "business book":

Loved the talk. I came to be immersed in web programming for a few hours, as I've done way too much sysadmin work over the last few months. =)

Great group of folks that I really enjoyed meeting. I don't think prototyping in HTML is going to work for us but I still got a lot out of Bermon's presentation. He did a great job!

Had a great time last night with lots of food for thought. Definitely going to try to implement some things from Bermon's talk into my workflow at my day job. Thank you, sir!

If you're interested in a session that's technology agnostic about prototyping, I have something... it goes into what prototyping can be used for and how to decide what type of prototype to create based on your goals (and other variables).
