Email development may be a messy venture at best, but building robust, flexible, and forgiving mobile-friendly templates isn't a dark art. We'll take a look at creating a happy union between your HTML emails and small screens everywhere with templates that can handle just about any type of content and work in a wide range of email clients.

I learned a lot from the presentation that I will be able to actually use. I thought it was fascinating to hear from a peer who works at such a well-known company, the inside story. Fabio knows his subject in depth. True, he isn't a professional presenter, but I would much rather have people like him talk at our meetup, people with direct experience and a passion for technology. Great job, Fabio, thanks for coming to Charlotte.

Drew, I’m puzzled by your counter-comment. Do you have one observation for the public and yet another for privacy? Which one is most relevant for last night’s presentation?

The subject matter was interesting, but not very practical unless you used the speaker's service. The speaker was not very good at presenting in public.

Actually, I didn't realize this was going to posted publicly. I thought this was supposed to be private feedback for the hosts. Sorry for being so blunt in my assessment.

This may be to MailChimp's credit, but other service providers I've used tend to break any responsive features by placing the entire email within their "shell." It's usually done to inject their tracking codes, etc. so you can get metrics.

I would like to see more services implement this.

I left with validation that we're on the right track at my company, a few data points to help me sell responsive email to the execs, and quite a few code tricks to use in our templates. I think these meetups are great for people who aren't the typical public speaker type to get some practice in. That said, after last night I think we might want to consider passing the hat around for a lavalier mic

Excellent presentation Fabio. Thanks so much for sharing your time and experience. It really re-enforced research that I have been doing. Keep up the fantastic work!
