Long term contract (or maybe perm) oppty for a Sr. UX Architect in north Charlotte.

For more than 16 years, we have been designing and implementing remarkable technology solutions and online experiences for Web sites and Internet-based applications.
We create user-informed Customer Experience, Employee Experience, and eCommerce solutions that deliver sustainable business value—engaging audiences, boosting revenue, improving efficiency, increasing productivity, and reducing training and maintenance costs. Our Information Architecture team is comprised of some of the best Human Factors Engineers in the industry!
We are seeking a strong Sr UXA with strong wireframe (detailed and heavily annotated) and interaction design experience for a 1 year contract (or maybe perm), for an exciting oppty in the north Charlotte area.

Here's what we seek in a Sr. UX Architect:
Macquarium’s User Experience Architects (UXAs) play a key role in the lifecycle of every project, working alongside business analysts, technical staff, and visual designers to identify requirements, study users, and craft experiences that translate business and user needs into informed, highly engaging sites and products.
The Senior UXA is an experienced, versatile, client-facing position with ample opportunity to shape and communicate user experience strategy and design, often serving as team lead responsible for translating the overall experience vision into implementation-ready design.
-Conduct stakeholder and user interviews
-Collect and document business and design requirements
-Plan, conduct, and/or participate in user research
-Create user and behavior models, including personas and scenarios
-Conduct competitive and/or heuristic analyses
-Contribute to or define user experience strategy
-Architect effective design solutions that meet business and user needs
-Freely ideate and conceptualize via sketches, concept models, etc.
-Create annotated wireframes and functional/interaction specifications
-Identify and communicate design tradeoffs and alternatives, as needed
-Present findings, design concepts, and rationale internally and to clients
-Plan and facilitate client workshops and team meetings
-Work on client site and travel as needed
-Interact and collaborate across internal disciplines
-Work within internal processes for design, development, and review
-Contribute to defining and improving quality standards and processes
-Support business development and marketing efforts
-BS or BA degree in recognized field
-5+ years in Information Architecture, Interaction Design, or User Experience role
-Commitment to the full user-centered design project lifecycle, including user research, requirements gathering, ideation/concepting, and design
-Expertise with tools of the trade, e.g., OmniGraffle, Visio, or Axure
-Problem solving, resourcefulness, and forward thinking in IA and Web design
-Versatility and perseverance in pursuit of the most effective design solutions
-Passion for creating comprehensive and effective design deliverables
-Refined and compelling presentation skills in varied settings
-Consultative nature with strong client relationship building focus
-Effective team leadership skill and experience
-Proactive, self-motivated nature and working style
-Ability to work independently and collaboratively
-Excellent written and verbal communications skills
Additional Desirable Qualifications and Skills:
-Masters in Information Design, Interaction Design, Information Science,
-Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field -- or equivalent experience
-Consultancy or agency experience
-Experience in ecommerce, intranet, or enterprise-class applications
-Experience with lab-based and/or guerilla usability testing
-Proficiency with simulation and prototyping tools (e.g., Axure, Fireworks CS4)
-Technical depth and understanding of the software development process
-Content strategy and/or content development for the Web
-Web application design experience
-Expertise in designing for community engagement
-Local and/or national practitioner community involvement (IxDA, UPA, etc.)
