Dinner at Deejai Thai followed by "Just Do It" at Theatre Charlotte

Let's "do it" again... dinner at Deejai Thai, followed by the "Just Do It" show.

Join us at 6:00 pm for dinner on Friday, February 22, at Deejai Thai. After dinner we'll head over to Theatre Charlotte for "Just Do It" at 8:00 pm - a monthly themed reading and performance series. The February show theme is: "Forbidden Love" -- which sounds like an appropriate subject on the heels of our Valentine's Eve dinner!!

***

"Just Do It" presents original short works -- readings, plays, song, and multimedia, etc. -- by local talent, focused on the theme. General seating, cash bar/snacks, and free raffle. Admission is $5.00, CASH ONLY. Going to the theatre after dinner is optional, and all are welcome to join us at the theatre whether or not you come to dinner.

In addition to the show and the return of the theatre's post-show juice and cookies chat and chew reception, a Phoebe-inspired cat food drive for needy and feral cats will take place that week leading up to performance. Feel free to bring cat food to the theatre to donate.

Deejai Thai restaurant offers many vegetarian and vegan friendly classic Thai entrees as well as vegetarian sushi options. If your schedule changes and you can't attend dinner, please update your RSVP so that others can attend if we have a wait list -- and please, no "no shows."

Hope to see you there!

I had a wonderful time and enjoyed the conversation. I felt very comfortable even though I knew no one before I came.

NOTE: I realize that 6:00 pm is early for some folks, especially on a work night. The reason it's set so early is to give some leisurely time for eating and visiting, before leaving to get to the theatre before 8:00 pm curtain. Here's an idea: if you can't make it until 6:30 pm or so, that's okay, please come join us! If you want to go to the show, you'll just need to eat faster! Or, for those not going to the show and eating only, you don't need to rush and can stay a while longer at the restaurant. We'll see how that works. I'll be at the restaurant by 6:00 pm to meet those who come early.
