Let's do Shakespeare again!
The annual summer Charlotte Shakespeare Festival continues, with a performance of Macbeth at the Booth Playhouse in the Blumenthal Performing Arts Center. There is No Admission Charge but tickets are required & available at the door one hour before the show. Donations are welcomed, $5 suggested. Seats are first come, first served. We'll attend the 8 pm performance.
PARKING: FIRST, if you're driving.... Park at the 7th Street Station Parking Garage 224 E. 7th St., Charlotte, NC 28263 -- FREE PARKING VALIDATION at Brixx!!
EATING: We'll begin the evening at Brixx Wood Fired Pizza - Uptown, at 5:30 pm. In the heart of Uptown Charlotte, near the last stop of the light rail line, Brixx is located in back of the same building as the 7th Street Garage, on the 6th Street side.
Brixx has lots of vegan and vegetarian friendly menu items, including delicious salads and pizza choices, vegan cheese at no charge, and gluten free options. Also featured are 27 beers on tap, including a wide selection of NC's finest craft beers, and 15 wines by the glass.
Bring your parking ticket with you -- Brixx will validate it!!
THEATRE: After dinner, we will walk 2 blocks to the Booth Playhouse at 130 North Tryon St., Charlotte, NC 28202. To ensure we have seats, we must be at the theatre no later than 7:30 pm. We'll leave Brixx by 7:15 pm. There will be pre-show entertainment to enjoy before curtain.
Feel free to dress casually and comfortably.
