I received this email notice from Freecycle-Charlotte. See info from Friends of Feral Felines below. By the way, if you don't know about Freecycle, check it out. Great way to keep stuff out of the landfill and give/receive free things as well. http://www.freecycle....

Subject: Good News for Caretakers of Stray/Feral Cats in 28205!

Humane Society is targeting our zip code for free spay/neuters and vaccinations for ferals and strays because it is a high-surrender area. Beginning in January and throughout the year (up to 1000 cats) HS will do the surgery and the shots for free. Please tell all the caretakers in the 28205 area (Merry Oaks and anywhere else in the zip code) about this wonderful opportunity to get feral cats fixed and vaccinated. If you intend to take kitties in under this program, you should let us know and we will get the details to you. Thanks.

I am interested in this since we have a couple of strays that we take care of and are in the 28205 zip code. They are spayed but have not had any vaccinations. But, I looked on the humane society's website and friends of feral felines and could not find any information about it. If you could help me out I would greatly appreciate it! Thank you!

Hi Pamela,
It looks like Friends of Feral Felines suggests contacting them directly for information, rather than the Humane Society. Here is the Friends contact page:
Their email is:
I emailed them and will post info that I receive, and you could also email them directly, too.
