Anime Night At KABUTO - Round 2

Kabuto has offered to team up with us to do a regular (monthly, for now) anime movie night!! They will provide a private room with a TV, DVD player, and computer (for netflix if necessary) and discounted food for all CAMS members! They let us know that they don't know much about anime so please bring your own DVDS! Decide on what you want to watch when you get there! (Or first one to the DVD player wins!) Feel free to suggest themes or titles in comments.

Here is an idea of the discount rates they will offer:

Hibachi:

Hibachi Veg: $7.95
Hibachi Chicken: $10.95
Hibachi Steak: $14.95
Hibachi Shrimp: $15.95

Sushi:
California, Tuna, or Salmon Roll: $2.00
Crunchy Roll: $4.95
Ecstasy Roll: $6.95
Mt. Fuji Roll: $8.95

Our standard 18% gratuity would still apply to the group total.
(Remember: They're offering to host us, giving us space for an extended period of time, and discounting our food!)

Great seeing everyone today! I'll come better equipped next time to resolve any audio/video issues faster if we have them again.

Anyone have a laptop that plays region-3 dvds? It would help to expand our movie choices!

Let's post some of the movies: Jeff is bringing 'Garden of Words' (about 45 min) and a bluray player! I'm bringing Five Star Stories (about 60 min) and Summer Wars (about 2 hours). Suggestions?

Thursday is typically a work night and we need to conform with the restaurant's schedule as well, so unfortunately we can't start late.

Well, for what it's worth, we started showing the actual movie at around 7:30-ish... almost 7:30. I wanted to give plenty of time to everyone coming to make it, but that's about as late as I feel comfortable in starting.

Yeah, we kinda had time for only one movie last time. They were real nice people at Kabuto's though and tried their best to accomodate us.

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
