CoveCon is a Film/Gaming Mini Convention in your own back yard! CoveCon features two tracks filling a total of twelve hours from 10 A.M. to 10 P.M. Saturday April 27th. CoveCon will take place at a residence at Lake Monticello in Fluvanna County and is open to two meetup groups, The Charlottesville Gaming Guild and The Charlottesville Movie Fans Meetup Group. The goal of CoveCon is to bring together local game/film enthusiasts.

CoveCon will make every attempt to work and feel like a large convention but in a shorter time and at no cost to you. One of the two tracks is the gaming track. CoveCon will have two rooms dedicated to gaming. One room will have two 8 foot tables and contain the library of games that can be taken off the shelf and played. The second room, the garage, will contain at least 4 tables. Different gaming sessions will be run throughout the day and gamers are welcome and encouraged to bring their own game to run and share with the group.

Space Alert is a team survival game. Players take on the role of a crew of space explorers sent out through hyperspace to survey a dangerous sector of the Galaxy. The pace of the game is set by 10-minute soundtracks on included CDs (or by scenario cards, if you don’t have a CD player). During these 10 minutes, the crew must defend the ship while it scans the enemy sector. If they succeed, the ship brings back valuable data. If they fail… it is time to train a new crew.

Players do not compete against each other. Instead, they work together against the challenge presented by the game. The difficulty of this  challenge can be chosen by the players themselves. Completing the most difficult missions requires close teamwork.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.

Henry, started Reno Motorcycle Riders
