A Game of Thrones @ CoveCon

  • Apr 27, 2013 · 12:00 PM
  • This location is shown only to members

CoveCon features two tracks filling a total of twelve hours from 10 A.M. to 10 P.M. Saturday April 27th. CoveCon will take place at a residence at Lake Monticello in Fluvanna County and is open to two meetup groups, The Charlottesville Gaming Guild and The Charlottesville Movie Fans Meetup Group. The goal of CoveCon is to bring together local game/film enthusiasts.

CoveCon will make every attempt to work and feel like a large convention but in a shorter time and at no cost to you. One of the two tracks is the gaming track. CoveCon will have two rooms dedicated to gaming. One room will have two 8 foot tables and contain the library of games that can be taken off the shelf and played. The second room, the garage, will contain at least 4 tables. Different gaming sessions will be run throughout the day and gamers are welcome and encouraged to bring their own game to run and share with the group.

From Fantasy Flight:

Based on the best-selling novel series A Song of Ice and Fire by George R. R. Martin, A Game of Thrones: The Board Game Second Edition lets 3-6 players take control of the great houses of Westeros in an epic struggle to claim the Iron Throne.

The updated second edition brings a host of enhancements to your A Game of Thronesexperience. It incorporates elements from previous expansions, including ports, garrisons, Wildling cards, and Siege engines, while introducing welcome new innovations. Convenient player screens will hide your underhanded dealings from prying eyes, while new Tides of Battle cards convey the uncertainty of war. This, along with updated graphics and a clarified ruleset, means the time has never been better to claim the Iron Throne.
