"Do you watch the direction that America is being taken in and feel powerless to stop it?

Do you believe that your voice isn’t loud enough to be heard above the noise anymore?

Do you read the headlines everyday and feel an empty pit in your stomach…as if you’re completely alone?

If so, then you’ve fallen for the Wizard of Oz lie. While the voices you hear in the distance may sound intimidating, as if they surround us from all sides—the reality is very different. Once you pull the curtain away you realize that there are only a few people pressing the buttons, and their voices are weak. The truth is that they don’t surround us at all.
Share this page with your friends and family...

We surround them.

So, how do we show America what’s really behind the curtain? Below are nine simple principles. If you believe in at least seven of them, then we have something in common. I urge you to read the instructions at the end for how to help make your voice heard.

12 Values

* Honesty
* Reverence
* Hope
* Thrift
* Humility
* Charity
* Sincerity
* Moderation
* Hard Work
* Courage
* Personal Responsibility
* Friendship

The Nine Principles

1. America is good.

2. I believe in God and He is the Center of my Life.

3. I must always try to be a more honest person than I was yesterday.

4. The family is sacred. My spouse and I are the ultimate authority, not the government.

5. If you break the law you pay the penalty. Justice is blind and no one is above it.

6. I have a right to life, liberty and pursuit of happiness, but there is no guarantee of equal results.

7. I work hard for what I have and I will share it with who I want to. Government cannot force me to be charitable.

8. It is not un-American for me to disagree with authority or to share my personal opinion.

9. The government works for me. I do not answer to them, they answer to me.

You Are Not Alone

If you agree with at least seven of those principles, then you are not alone."

Gather your like-minded friends and family and join us at Rivals Sports Bar & Grill near the Fashion Square Mall on East Rio Road in Charlottesville on Friday, March 13th from 5PM-6PM. We'll watch Glenn Beck unveil his plan to get our voices heard. See you there! (It's a smoke-free, family-friendly environment)

    My husband and I had a great time tonight! It was wonderful to see so many people turn out for this first meeting. I am really looking forward to another. My parent's group have planned to meet once a month. I would be interested in some similar arrangement for our area. 9/12 is my birthday, so I have already told my husband for my birthday dinner I want to go wherever the meetup is. :)

    According to those who signed in, we had 54 people come tonight. I spoke to a few folks who had just come there to eat, who took an interest in what Glenn was saying & why we were there. I was asked how come they never heard about this on the regular news? Hmmm... They didn't sign the roster, but they took the flier explaining the 9 principles & 12 values. I'd say the event was a huge success! Thanks to all of you who came out. I look forward to hearing what you all thought.

    Wow, Carrie! 30 people RSVPed for a Charlottesville meetup? We'll make sure we bring a camera so we can send some shots in to Fox.

    Hi guys, I'm so excited to meet you all tomorrow night. We'll be keeping things pretty loose. There are a few folks representing some Conservative Grassroots organizations that will have some fliers to hand out to those interested in learning/doing more to further the Conservative cause. I'll have a sign-in sheet available, so please keep a lookout for that and sign in, so we can stay connected going forward. Be sure to BRING CAMERAS! Take lots of pictures, make some new friends, & have fun!

    I invited my State Delegate Rob Bell to attend, and he just confirmed he'll be coming by...he may not be able to stay the whole time since he's got a little one at home, but he'll be there. (He said he agrees with all nine of the principles!)

Who attended?

       I thought it was a great first meetup for our group, and I can't wait for the next one!
    •  I really enjoyed the event, and I'm looking for to more of them! BTW, http://www.glennb... has a searchable view of the mosiac backdrop with all the pics- go look at them, it's wonderful!
    •  Nice turnout and good to see others interested in saving our Republic.

       It was great to see others in a fairly liberal area with the same conservative values we have. I feel it is important that we connect and educate others as much as possible given the current state of our country. I think this is just the beginning of something very big!
    •  Good Start to educating and reminding our selves of the and our Children and Grandchildren what America Really stands for. I attempted at one point to do a broad stroke count. average 50 Plus including children??

       People were so grateful to have this event organized. I wish we had taken a group photo, though. But it was nice to see the whole dining area full of folks who think like us when it comes to the 9 principles/12 values. I hope everyone was served well...it seems there was someone who "called to cancel the event" with the restaurant, so they called off the wait staff. Then when we started showing up, they weren't prepared. I spoke with the owner afterwards, he hoped they were able to serve us well considering what happened. He was very appreciative of our being there. I appreciated having every TV tuned into Glenn. That was way cool...and having the space for all of us to sit, dine and converse. I was very pleased with the event, considering it was just "thrown together" a week ago.

       Wonderful to meet and chat with other like-minded individuals. Looking forward to more opportunities to be involved and take back our country.

       It was wonderful to see that we aren't alone and meet some new people. There are more of us than the media wants to let on! Tea Party idea: Send a tea bag to The White House/1600 Pennsylvania Ave/Washington, DC 20050 on April 1st so it gets there by the 15th. Also send to congress and senators. Extra idea - include a "pink slip" with words like "Next election, you're FIRED!". Let's flood them with tea! Principles of Liberty seminar is March 28th from 9-5 at Colonial Auto in Charlottesville. For more information go to NCCS.net and click on seminars. Find the Principles of Liberty seminar for Charlottesville on March 28th and e-mail the contact there. Excellent seminar based on the "5000 Year Leap" book Glenn praises! April 15, 3-5 pm on downtown mall - Tea Party planned. Look for more information in the future about this event. We may get a special guest star!

       Carrie did a great job organizing this! Hopefully we will carry this forward and have something significant to report September 12.

       It was great to see that we were not alone!
    •  I attended instead of my wife so these are not her comments. I like the idea of conservatives meeting together. Since I arrived a little late, I sat at a table at the fringes and was only able to talk with my two table mates. It would have been nice to have been able to get all the folks into one area, but the layout of the room couldn't be changed. I did notice that the majority of attendees left immediately after the program ended; maybe it was because of the time of day (dinner time).
