Hi there!

I've got a brand new workshop!   This new one is the KLC (Kiss Like Charr) Photoshop Crash Course--  for Photoshop newbies.  This is a one-day, hands-on course developed specifically for people who want to stare the Photoshop learning curve in the eye – and not blink!   By the end of the day you'll walk out with a firm grasp of the basics you need to know  and be able to apply them immediately.  Mac or PC welcome!

The date for this class is Saturday August 6th, 9 – 5pm, at a lovely location in Sacramento.   There are only two spots open at this time.

I have only two spots left.  The cost for this full day, hands-on course is $124 and includes the full day of instruction in a comfortable intimate setting allowing students to maximize time with the instructor. You'll also receive a wonderful companion guide I've created that will be a super reference tool both in class and at  home.

If you or someone you know are interested in taking this course please let me know right away.

Here's a link to the online flyer online for information purposes.

If you want to know more, have any questions please let me know.  And please share with anyone you know who may want to do this fun and educational class.

XXOO,  Charr

P.S.  In case you are curious... the following is the introduction from the companion guide so you can get a quick preview as to what students will get out of it and why I am teaching and believe in this important course.

" P ictures are a universal language.

Never before has the world been  more clear on this concept.   I’ve been a photographer and an artist my whole life.  Pictures have always been my business, literally, and that’s what brought me to create these workshops.  To bring what I know to others so they can learn powerful tools and have fun in this amazing digital playground.

It’s so important to know this stuff because our world is moving fast and exploding with digital everything!  Social media, facebook, cell phones with cameras, web sites laden with graphics and ecommerce to name only a few.

Pictures tell us stories, they liven things up graphically, and they educate us.  Pictures are a way we collect and document our history.  From rough hands on cave walls, to today’s facebook status updates via cellphone, the human race has always had a need to stand and say...  “I was here”.  “I  am  here”.  Bear witness to my life.  Pictures are a universal language.

We’re now deep in a new and exciting realm of making pictures -   one of pixels and computer screens.  With it comes a learning curve.  My intention is to shorten the learning curve with this unique hands-on experience and give you simple and practical guidelines into the realm of digital processing, allowing you to make your photos look their best no matter how they are being used.  And like the workshop name says, we’re going to Keep It Simple, Sweetie!

You won’t be getting a big windy technical explanation of these tools because technical I am not.  Practical I am.   So I’ve taken all the basic tools I use every day in my own work and have broken them down for you to use in yours.  I’ll explain what you need to know with good visuals and simple, clear terms.   And by the time you leave this course today you’ll be able to process your images while enjoying a whole new and exciting relationship to the digital realm that you can build on from here.

This first course, The KLC Photoshop Crash Course, Level 1, makes it possible to interact with relative ease using the most important and powerful photographic editing program in t he world, Adobe Photoshop.

You’ll learn how to see light and how to apply that to how you look at pictures.  You’ll learn how to work with confidence while adjusting colors and shadows, making finely tuned corrections.

You’ll learn the difference between preparing image files for publication versus web pages.

You’ll know when to use a jpeg versus a tiff and why.

In a future course, Level 2, we build on what we learn here and add a whole new set of tools and techniques that will take you firmly into a world of layers, type, layouts and even more fun tools in the Photoshop playground.  I’ll be keeping you posted!

And now it’s time to start to K.I.S.S. Like Charr, for real!

MUAH!"

The small group was a perfect size to give lots of individual attention needed for this entry into Adobe Photoshop. Everyone got a lot out of it and we covered so much ground! Having the KLC Companion Guide made a big difference too and now the resources at home make reviewing and fully absorbing the material easier than ever.
