Anyone know of a good place to browse/buy games local?

Sadly, there are only a handful of places that carry anything beyond the standard "Ameritrash classics" locally - and those places have a very limited selection.
This list includes Target (which will price match Amazon now), Barnes and Noble, and Books-A-Million. Dillon was saying last night that HobbyTown-USA has some games, but that they looked like they were trying to empty their stock and get out of carrying them. I haven't been to Epikos in Ooltewah, but from what I gather, they focus more on comics and collectible card/tabletop games than board games.

There's a couple decent-sized stores over in Knoxville, but I'm not sure about their current selection. Also, there's Dicehead in Cleveland (mostly mini-wargaming stuff) but I stopped shopping there after their remarks about why they closed their Chattanooga store. "Chattanooga and 90% of its game community deserve what they have - nothing."
Knoxville has two great stores, but that's barely local.
I didn't realize Target will match Amazon's prices. Where did you find that out? I could have saved on Flash Point! Hmph.
Yeah, Hobbytown in Hamilton Place has some good games still in stock as of last weekend, like Agricola, Power Grid, Eclipse, etc. But by the look of the shelves in the board game section they haven't been restocking. Epikos has some games, including some that are used, but don't expect much because it's mostly a comics and Magic store. Here's a custom Google map made on Reddit of gamers and FLGSs around the world: https://maps.google.co...
Damn Facebook formatting. Continued: So far I've found about 7 game stores within a 2.5-3 hour drive of Chatt, in Nashville, Atlanta, or Knoxville. There's a pretty good store in Murfreesboro called "Roll The Dice" where I bought my copy of Power Grid. They even have a separate kids/family section, but their prices aren't competetive with the online stores. I think the best deals you'll find are the BGG marketplace, coolstuffinc.com, miniaturemarket.com, and boardsandbits.com. That said, I've seen some good deals on games in the Hamilton Place Barnes & Noble, like $20 for Zombies! and $25 for Flash Point i think.
The Target price matching policy started earlier this year... they will price match Amazon and the websites for Best Buy, Wal-Mart, and Toys-R-Us (as well as their own website - something a lot of retailers sadly don't do).

I just buy online for the most part at this point. I have been to a store in Atlanta and 1 in Knoxville. They were both good but I don't get to either city very often.

I know this is an old thread but I got news of a new game store opening on Lee Highway called Game On http://gameonchattano... Not a lot of info yet but it should be open in late March.

I can only come for one game tonight. Would anyone like that one game to be Castles of Burgundy?
What, you don't want another lesson in Mystery of the Abbey? Just kidding, of course. I would love to learn/play Castles with you tonight!
I might get to stay longer now. I will bring it. Too good to miss
I'd be down to play/learn as well
Just out of curiosity, is anyone planning on going to Tennessee Game Days? It's March 8-10. http://tngamedays.com/
not this year but I may try to plan a family get away around it next year
Hope to make it. If so, bringing Tzolk'in.
And if you do make it, I'd love to try Tzolk'in out.
That one (Tzolkin) looks good but I may play Castles of Burgundy first tonight

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
