We should be at the trailhead on Heiss Mountain Road near Jones Gap Road at 9:30 to 9:45.
Be sure to share in the gas expense with those that drive.
Be sure to bring a LUNCH and WATER.
You'll want to bring a camera as well.

I am changing the difficulty level of this trip. After walking the trail last week I found it to be more rugged and strenuous than I thought. It would be very streuous for beginners, strenuous for intermediate and moderate for avid hikers.
It is very scenic and worth the effort but it is challenging.
