Well, there's probably some rain on the horizon, but I'm going to chance it. See you there at 6?

Well it's about a 30 minute drive for me, so I'd like to have some idea before I leave the house. I'll check back at 5:15.

Dreama says we'll cancel if it's storming. I'm still interested if it's not a deluge.

    Rain or shine tonight?

For those confused on the directions, head up the road and just keep going (past the pinpoint on the map). You'll think you've gone too far, but eventually you will come around a corner and see a short steep gravel road off to your right. The parking lot is right there. If you zoom in on the satellite image of the map and follow the road, you will see a small circular clearing where the parking lot is located.

Is there a place to change into running cloths? I don't know if I'll have time to run home first.

The parking lot is pretty secluded, so if you need to change in your car, no one will care.

where exactly is this parking lot? having trouble with online maps...

I'm a maybe this evening - watching the weather. Already got drenched to the bone in the woods last night - super fun but not sure I want to do that 2 days in a row. 90% storm chance right now after 5:30 but hopefully it may change!

Are the gps directions correct? I read the link and it looks like those directions take you to two different starting points. Any help is appreciated. Just not familiar with the area.

not sure, I see multiple trails/start points on the map, I was going to go to head to the road behind the dollar store and see if there are any trail entrances back there...

      May 14, 2014

    • Steve

looking further at the map shows no trails near there, so I don't know where to go either...

FYI the road after the Cherokee Tunnel to Dayton Boulevard is going to be closed Wednesday to Friday so you need to get on the highway downtown to get there!!!!
