Omg..I had it down for next Sunday..so sorry I messed up and missed it! What am I going to do with all this nut cheese fermenting on my counter top!

I will either give you some or make it for our next event. No way are you buying any - all the great work you put into organizing the group! This recipe is made with Herbs De Provence & Rejuvelac - and is my fav vegan cheese so far! It's really more like cream cheese though.

Wow, that sounds amazing! I definitely want some, at least enough to try and the recipe. ;)

I was looking for a place to post our recipes in the discussion section. I don't think members can start a forum, we can just add to a forum once it is created. Should we add these recipes to the Indian Cooking Class Forum or should Chitra create another forum for this potluck?

Thank you Chitra. There was so much wonderful food last night I want all of the recipes!

Sue and Phil, thanks so much for the tip on Village Market and all of the awesome meat sub products. I stopped in this morning and I am hooked! Nice thing is I will not have drive all the way to Whole Foods from Cleveland for specialty items. I was able and stock up on my bulk items and I got the Holiday Roast by Gardien. I can't wait to cook it.
You also recommended some veggie burgers made by Amy's. Was that the Texas Burgers?

      Thanks so much Sue!

I got soy curls and some vegan chicken flavored broth and used it to rehydrate the soy curls and just had them on my spinach salad for lunch. Yum! I did find the website and found we can buy them for about $5 a pound for a 12 pound box (includes shipping and is about $2 a pound saving over Village Market). If anyone is interested in splitting a box or wants a couple of pounds, let me know. I will likely be ordering one in the next few weeks. You can email me at [masked]

Looking forward to trying the nut cheese. I have a canister of Cashews and have been wanting to try making some cheese or a creamy sauce from it. I will definitely want to get some pointers.
I also thought that I might find out if anyone would like for me to bring my bagpipes to add some unique music to the event. I get the sense that this eclectic group would probably enjoy it.
See you all tomorrow, I think this is going to be a lot of fun.

Hi Michael, I'm sure everyone would love your bagpipes and they would add such a festive atmosphere, so please bring them along. But just a heads up, my place is a small duplex and we're going to have a full house as it is. I'm looking for a larger place to hold future gatherings. Can't wait to meet you!

Perhaps some plastic ware, and maybe a few bottled drinks. We are too new at veganism, to share our cooking with others. Lol

You don't have to cook, soft drinks or apple cider, hey, even vegan ice cream. Whatever works for you will be fine.
