Bring Your Own Stack!

Bring your own stack to this hands-on meetup! Whether you’re on Windows or Linux, running IIS or Rails or something else, Chef users will be on hand to show you how to start automating it using Opscode Chef. It’s part-hackathon, part-conversation about best practices & community resources towards automation.

If you plan to attend and want to discuss your stack, please describe it here in the comments so that we have time to prepare some content.

Note: Security at[masked]th Ave. requires that you supply your full name in your RSVP; this will be checked against photo ID when you come to the meetup.

What did you guys think of the format? I heard from some that it was the best Chef-meetup they've attended and others left soon after arriving. What worked/didn't work?

While I have not been to other Chef meetups. The solving of specific issues and doing an introduction section to those was fantastic. I would publicize the problem solving side a bit more as I think that was fantastic.

I'll be around to hack and help out.

I've been meaning to put together a slick/lightweight stack for using Python or Ruby for web applications on Linux, so if anyone is faced with that hurdle, I'd like to help build that.
