We have a fifth Tuesday this month, so we have scheduled a special get-together, our first night of SIGs.
SIGs, or Special Interest Groups are a feature of many clubs. They allow members to pursue interests that require specialized equipment, expertise, or outings.
The club will spilit into groups and concentrate on sharing pictures and knowledge in these areas:
Photoshop Tips & Tricks. Photoshop is like chess - an afternoon to learn, but a lifetime to master. If there is something that you want to do in Photoshop, and you don't know how, this is the place to find help. If you have discovered a great technique, action or plugin, this is the time to share it with your fellow CCC members.
Night Photography. Shooting at night involves more than simply lengthening exposures. Share your pictures taken after dark, in the country or the city, and learn how to compensate for scant ambient light by creative exposure and light paintings. Members might also schedule some night shoots.
Macro Photography. Getting up close to your subjects opens a whole new world of imaging to your camera. Whether you like to shoot flowers and bugs, or want to experiment with found objects or still life, mastering the techniques of macro will expand your photographic vision while contracting your focus.
Nature. Landscapes, flora and fauna. There is a great tradition of pointing the camera at scenes beyond the reach of the "hand of man" (or woman). Share your nature shots and the places you took them.
Bill will also be available to help anyone, new member or old, who needs help using the club website.
Bring your work and expertise and, if you like, your laptop, to share with your colleagues. See you there.
